JOB PURPOSE: Maintains and performs preventative maintenance on all kitchen equipment. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment.

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on kitchen equipment.

  • Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)

  • Complete daily maintenance and repair logs

  • Communicate with operators and management

  • Strong electrical, HVAC and Gas skills.

  • Knowledge of Hot side equipment.

  • Maintain and secure work tools

  • Clean and maintain work area

  • Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use

  • Order tools and machinery inventory parts

  • Travels from site to site to service and repair Commercial Food Equipment.

  • Work and drive safely, using appropriate safety gear and techniques.

  • Ability to work on-call and respond to emergency calls as needed.

  • Project a professional image to associates, customers, and others; observe all rules of food safety and hygiene.

  • Perform other duties as directed by the management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):



  • Must be 21 years of age

  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment including  HVAC, GAS 

  • Knowledge and ability to read blue prints

  • Excellent problem solving skills 


 


REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • EPA Certification (Preferred)

  • CFESA Certification (Preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: 



  • Standing-30% /Walking-40% /Sitting-30%; Casino/Hotel Setting.

  • Possible exposure to cigarette smoke and loud noise

  • Lifting/Carrying 50lbs.
